Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in extracting data from various legal databases in formats such as Excel CSV JSON and using APIs where applicable. This role requires advanced skills in data manipulation using Excel and a strong understanding of AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to further analyze and process the information.
Key Responsibilities:
• Extract data from legal databases often in Excel CSV or JSON formats.
• Utilize APIs to access and download data where necessary.
• Clean organize and manipulate data using Excel including advanced functions (e.g. pivot tables VLOOKUPs macros).
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT for data analysis summarization and reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and provide tailored analysis.
• Generate insights and reports from data sets to support legal projects.
• Ensure data accuracy integrity and security during processing and storage.
• Stay uptodate with the latest data analysis and AI tools relevant to legal databases.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in data analysis preferably in a legal or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel including advanced formulas macros and data visualization tools.
• Experience with AI tools (Claude ChatGPT) and a willingness to learn new platforms as required.
• Familiarity with JSON APIs and data extraction processes.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex data findings in simple terms.
Preferred:
• Experience working with legal databases and an understanding of legal data structures.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python) for advanced data manipulation.
