Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our thirdparty accounting team. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator adept at managing financial operations and deeply knowledgeable about US bookkeeping and accounting systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting maintaining compliance and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee ThirdParty Accounting Team: Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the thirdparty accounting team ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare review and present monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development and management of the annual budget including regular updates and variance analysis to track performance.
- Internal Controls: Establish maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
- Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the thirdparty accounting team and internal stakeholders ensuring clear effective and timely communication.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all federal state and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct and provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisionmaking and company initiatives.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Proactivity: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting analysis and process management.
- Team Management: Proven track record in managing and developing accounting teams with a focus on mentorship and team performance.
