Job Description
Position Summary: The Quotes Accountant is responsible for creating insightful special project quotations evaluating cost overhead and market trends with a goal of closing as many opportunities as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in managing product pricing and related tools
- Assist with maintaining product configurations in CPQ database
- Generate reports on quote & pricing trends
- Continuously improve CPQ processes and quoting workflows
- Respond to quote requests
- Manage quotes through creation analysis and approval process engaging Sales Finance Engineering and others as needed
- Review project takeoffs cross requests fixture schedules quote requests and other documentation to prepare and send customers quotes and part numbers as needed
- Engage with customers and regional sales staff and others to maximize likelihood of winning job
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor offerings
- Manage quotes through creation analysis and approval process engaging Sales Finance Engineering and others as needed
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Enjoys digging into costs and thinking creatively about how to best solve complicated situations.
- Effective organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects successfully and meet deadlines
- Independently able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in ambiguous situations
- Selfmotivated detailoriented and organized.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Business Engineering Sales Marketing or a related discipline
- Customerfacing sales or service experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- Microsoft Office Suite expertise
- Lighting industry experience will be considered a plus.
