Job Description: Family Nurse Practitioner – Hospitalist
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the hospital setting focusing on acute and chronic illness management.
- Conduct detailed essments develop treatment plans and execute patient care in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress making necessary adjustments to care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Doent patient essments interventions and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code blue situations as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state of practice.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification from a nationally recognized nurse practitioner certification body (e.g. ANCC or AANP).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospitalist emergency room or critical care setting preferred.
- Experience in managing a diverse patient population with varying health needs.
- Strong communication ss with the ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and other healthcare technologies.
