Are you passionate about energy markets and have a solid quantitative background Join Axpo as a Gas & LNG Analyst where youll use your analytical skills to shape and support proprietary trading strategies. Were looking for an experienced professional eager to contribute innovative insights to a dynamic marketoriented team.
What you will do:
- Conduct indepth fundamental analysis of European gas and global LNG markets to support trading activities.
- Develop and maintain models in European gas and LNG markets to generate market analytics
- Monitor market trends regulatory changes and trading opportunities to inform strategies.
- Support the Gas and LNG Trading teams with short medium and long term (1 month 3 years) fundamental analysis and independently derived trading strategies
- Collaborate closely with energy analysts across power coal and oil markets to align insights.
What you bring & who you are:
- University degree in mathematics economics engineering or similar field with strong quantitative focus.
- 2 years of experience in analytics in energy markets with knowledge of gas and LNG markets essential
- Proficient in coding (Python SQL) and data visualization; excellent numerical skills.
- Expertise running a quantitative model and converting it into actionable trading insights
- Great problemsolving skills high attention to detail and ability to conduct ad hoc research
- Independent thinker and self starter
- Team player
