About us

Augmented Energy is on the mission to offer turnkey solutions to energy players enabling them to transition towards a decarbonised electricity mix and ultimately offer greener energy services. We are developing software solutions to integrate and manage all types of intermittent and flexible assets within our customers existing operations (onsite renewable generation behindthemeter batteries charging stations) to improve their electricity carbon footprint as well as their revenues.

We are a young company with a team of experienced founders and we are growing strongly; we have landed several contracts at the forefront of energy innovation in France. We are looking for talents to tackle the challenges of todays energy transition!

About the rle :

As we experience an increased demand for our solutions our team is entering into the next stage of growth scaling up our operations to manage hundreds of intermittent and flexible assets on behalf of our clients.

We are looking for an experienced head of shortterm trading to lead our efforts improving trading strategies and winning new asset mandates.

Tasks

  • Take leadership of all shortterm markets operations
  • Build continuous intraday operational process
  • Develop and execute trading algorithms for assetbacked trading.
  • Improve existing renewable balancing strategies
  • Build shortterm prices prediction with the support of the tech / ML team.
  • Help develop pricing and optimization models for flexible assets (batteries cogens demand response etc.) with the support of the overall tech team.
  • Support the Augmented Energy team in developing new flexibilityoriented services.

Requirements

We are looking for someone eager to work in a startup environment and take ownership of critical tasks

  • Bachelors degree in economics finance engineering or math.
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in power markets and shortterm trading preferably in the French markets.
  • Strong understanding of the shortterm markets microstructure
  • Operational exposition to power trading
  • Experience and understanding of balancing markets (aFFR RR imbalance calculation etc) is a plus.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with experience in data science and optimization algorithms
  • Proficient in Python
