Job Description
Dark Light is a leading staffing agency based in Antwerp focusing on data and business intelligence. We are searching for a Senior Data Architect/Engineer with a strong focus on AI & Azure Data Solutions.
As a Data Architect/Engineer you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust data architectures. Youll advise clients on best practices for data pipeline performance optimization and scalability. You will also bring handson experience in programming and data engineering enabling you to deliver comprehensive solutions across the data lifecycle.
Tasks
- Design develop and enhance Azurebased data architectures including data lakes warehouses and ETL pipelines
- Provide expert guidance on data architecture management and governance best practices
- Build and implement data pipelines and integrations using tools like Azure Data Factory Databricks and Synapse
- Ensure data solutions deliver optimal performance reliability and scalability
- Collaborate with AI and analytics teams to drive actionable insights through data
- Develop efficient highquality code in Python SQL and Scala
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with the latest Azure technologies and trends in data engineering
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in data architecture data engineering or related roles
- Deep expertise in Azure data services including Azure Data Factory Databricks and Synapse Analytics
- Skilled in designing and optimizing ETL pipelines data warehouses and data lakes
- Proficient in programming languages like Python and SQL with handson development experience
- Strong problemsolving skills with a proven ability to provide strategic advice on data solutions
- Demonstrated success in performance optimization and implementation of best practices for data systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in clientfacing roles
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are highly desirable
