Job Description
Job Title: Ultrasound Technicians
Location: Decatur GA 30033
Start date: Feb 2025.
Duration: 1 year (options for 26 weeks or fulltime)
Shift times: 40 hrs / week 7am 3:30pm 7:30am 4pm 8am4:30pm and 7a7:30pm.
Standby Oncall and call back required on need
Qualification:
Certifications: ARRT American Registry Radiologic Technologists / American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS Certification
Experience: Minimum of two years current experience in this field and recent Ultrasound Technologist experience in a hospital setting including covering inpatient units ED and ICU.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance adheres to Nuclear Regulatory and Radiology Service policies including ACR guidelines and the Radiology Quality Improvement Program.
- Imaging Equipment Management prepares test and operate imaging equipment ensuring accurate radiation field measurements and compliance with ALARA principles.
- Patient Interaction explains procedures clearly to secure patient cooperation and confidence while following all safety and identification protocols.
- HighQuality Imaging performs and acquire precise radiographs and scans ensuring data is accurately incorporated into the PACS system for Radiologist interpretation.
- Documentation and Record Keeping maintains detailed records of patient exams contrast studies and imaging details updating patient notes in the CPRS system within the required timeframes.
- Support and Collaboration provide assistance during employee absences ensure proper use of materials and report unusual incidents to supervisory staff.
