Job Description
Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: New York NY
Duration: Long Term
Summary/Objective:
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements creating detailed workflows application mockups creating user stories and perform QA testing while collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in government agencies particularly in the child support domain is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Elicit and analyze business/functional requirements through interviews workshops and document analysis.
- Develop detailed process flows to illustrate current and future state processes.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and use cases.
- Design intuitive and userfriendly graphical user interface mockups.
- Documentation:
- Write comprehensive business and functional requirement documents.
- Create clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop test scripts and participate in QA testing.
- Report and track bugs encountered during system testing.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist with project estimation and planning.
- Track and report on project status.
- Follow up with stakeholders on outstanding items and action items.
- Technical Support:
- Provide basic application support to staff.
- Create user guides or documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in information technology Business Administration or a related field.
- 56 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with business users and technical teams.
- Proficiency in creating process flows and detailed mockups.
- Experience working with government agencies particularly in the child support domain (preferred).
