Shift Notes: 3:30P 12:00A (40 Hour Guarantee)

Weekend Requirements: 1 Weekend Per Month

Dress Code: Matching Scrubs of any color

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to; performing magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing highly technical equipment and administering contrast materials as required. Other functions may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• (25%)* Prepare scan room and patient for examination.
• (25%)* Draw up IV contrast if needed; administer oral contrast if indicated; perform a warmup procedure on equipment; enter patient data and appropriate scan parameters; review patient data to ensure proper exam; review previous exams. Interview and screen patients for contraindications before having an MRI study; explain the procedure and answer patient questions.
• (25%)* Transport patient into the exam room assist patient & position appropriately for the exam; determine if allergic to anything; inject appropriate IV contrast; perform a scan with attention to appropriate positioning; be alert for the need of additional or thinner slices/images. Utilize correct protocols coils restraints and other materials when scanning.
• (15%)* Assure proper marking about the orientation of the patient; enter images with a keypad with attention to the order of the images.
• (10%)* Prepare records for the radiologist and ensure that all clinical information is complete; ensure that exam images are in the correct order; provide additional information as required.

• Associate Degree Required

• Work History
• Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years
• Licensure & Certifications (ARRT & BLS AHA)
