Lawton OK need Travel RN PCU
$2276 weekly pay!
13 Weeks 36 Hours Days 6p 6:30p
Start Date: 12/05/24
- Accurately assess patients
- Collects current symptoms as well as a detailed patient history and then consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans Performs triage while considering both physical and psychosocial elements
- Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the attending physician is available based upon nursing standards and protocol
- Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
- Records patients current vital signs
- Works directly under physicians assisting them during exams diagnostic testing and treatments
- Prepares and administers (orally subcutaneously through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
- Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse
- Provides IV therapy
- Provides basic bedside care
- Maintains proper supplies and appropriate medical equipment to care for patients
- Work effectively with the healthcare team
- Initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
- Educates patients and others how to manage their illness/injury by explaining: posttreatment home care needs diet/nutrition/exercise programs selfadministration of medication and rehabilitation as well as provides referrals to other healthcare professionals for followup treatment
- Displays professionalism while completing multiple urgent tasks in a timely manner
- Records all care information concisely accurately and completely in a timely manner in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year of experience Required
- Float to Med/Surg or ER to take CVCU/Med Surg holds Required
- MUST HAVE CARDIAC EXPERIENCE (not just ICU) Required please notate on profile
- NO BLOCK SCHEDULING Flexibility Required
- Recent traveler experience highly preferred
- Profile Requirements:
- Work History
- Skills Checklist ((Cardiac ICU Checklist) current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years
- Licensure & Certifications (OK State License or compact & BLS ACLS AHA NIH)
- Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates at a reduced rate)
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Oklahoma
- Compact Allowed
Weekend Requirements:
- 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule period
On Call Requirements:
- No Call
