Job Description:
- The Air Freight Operations Specialist is responsible for safely handling transporting and documenting dangerous goods shipments in compliance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR)or CAT 836.
- Duties include classifying labeling and packaging hazardous materials ensuring accurate documentation (e.g. Shippers Declarations) and coordinating with airlines ground handlers and customs.
- The role requires compliance with safety protocols risk management and maintaining training certifications.
- The Specialist also provides customer support resolves operational issues and conducts safety audits to mitigate risks.
- Previous experience in air freight dangerous goods handling and DGR certification are required.
