Job Description
Surgical Technicians allied health professionals whose role is to create and maintain the sterile field and assemble and hand the instruments to the surgeon. Some OR nurses also have additional training in scrubbing PACU/Recovery Room Nurses specialize in providing care to the patient during the immediate postoperative period.
Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs closed toe shoes no perfume or cologne no facial piercings (ears ok)
Patient Population: Pediatric Adolescent Adult & Geriatric
Surgery (OR PACU ENDO)
OR suites 2
ENDO suite 1
PACU 3
Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!!
NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). Must be available for at least 3 out of the 4 holidays: Dec 24 25 31 and Jan1 . Thank you!
RATE WILL BE ADJUSTED FOR LOCAL TRAVELERS (10% reduction of posted rate if perm address is w/i 50 miles of facility).

Requirement description :
- Minimum of 2 years current OR experience in a hospital setting Required
- OR scrub experience with ortho (including total hip total knee) general surgery gyn podiatry urology Required
- Prior travel experience Preferred
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- BLS (AHA)
- NBSTSA
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : NBSTSA Cert MUST be uploaded with profile
Weekend Requirements : Every 3rd weekend on call
On Call Requirements : 3 days per week and Every Third Weekend. TRAVELER MUST RESPOND TO CALL WITHIN 30 MINUTES TO HOSPITAL
