Job Description

Cable Inspector: Oldsmar FL

Schedule: 3:30PM EST 2:00AM / MonThurs with OT on the weekends.

Description:

  • Uses predetermined methods operations setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually inprocess and completed Cable Inspections.
  • Uses various measuring devices. Accepts rejects or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
  • Works from blueprints diagrams dial indicators preset micrometres scales fixtures customer specifications drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Has the willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas if needed.
  • Experience with Cables and able to identify nonconformances IAW IPCA620 & specific other requirements.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with assemblers engineers and management when resolving quality issues.
  • This includes detailorientation and proficiency at interpreting drawings diagrams parts lists IPC manuals revision control reference documents and work instructions.
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with assemblers test technicians engineers customers and management when resolving quality issues.
  • Proficiency with using Personal Computers and newer applications.

Required Experience:

  • Candidate has a strong background in the manufacturing process of Cables Inspections.
  • Has the willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed.
  • MUST have experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using IPCA620 standards.
  • Requires prior inspection experience.
  • Detailoriented and proficient at interpreting drawings diagrams parts lists IPC manuals revision control reference documents and work instructions.
  • A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with assemblers test technicians engineers customers and management when resolving quality issues.
  • Proficient with Personal Computers.
  • No Degree Required
  • Candidates must take and pass a medical screening exam as outlined in the supplier guide.
