Job Description
Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for an RN Cardiac Cath Lab. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.
Location: Rockford IL 61103
Assignment Start Date: 11/18/2024
13 weeks Days 8hour shift 40 hours guaranteed weekly

- Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Performs assessments planning intervention and evaluation of care
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques policies and procedures standards of care and state laws/practice acts as required by the care setting.
- Ensures all documentation is accurate and comprehensive following the established standards of care for documentation at the system and entity levels.
- Develops initiates and executes a patient plan of care according to the patients individualized needs as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy. Utilizes resources available to teach and support patient and family education. Provides education to the appropriate level of understanding.
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities which may include shared governance.
- Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patients longitudinal plan of care. Acts to resolve systems breakdowns and engages self and others in providing solutions
- Utilizes critical thinking concerning patient safety and patient experience manages complex situations and delegates to other staff appropriately. Escalates to the appropriate chain of command as needed.
- Positively influences the professional and organizational environments and shared governance.
- Engages in personal development and supports systementity opportunities for continuous learning and growth including developing or revising evidencebased practice guidelines.
- Supports and participates in peer review and peer feedback opportunities.
- Participates in the professional nursing continuum
- Clinic and Ambulatory RNs will maintain a timely flow of patients in addition to responding to telephone calls and performing telephone triage of patients.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular Intervention experience
- Must have at least 3 years of RN experience with 1 year of critical care experience required
Education:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:
- Current IL RN licensure by the IL Dept of Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Current CPR certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification are required
- Successfully pass EKG test before completion of orientation
- National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required
EMR System: EPIC experience preferred
Shift: Day Shift with OnCall Rotation (Weeknights Weekends and Holidays)
Call Frequency: 2 Nights / Week and 6 Weekends (in a 13week contract period)
