Job Description
Job Title: General Handyman
Location: Manhattan NY
Job Type: Full time
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide routine and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of fixing/repairing boilers
- Log and maintain the work orders initiated during the shift
- Basic Electrical light switches outlets breakers repairs installation of light fixtures bulb replacements etc.
- Basic Plumbing Clogged sinks tubs or toilets change faucets washers shower fixtures toilet bowls including wax rings.
- Patch Sand Prep and Painting
- Strip and Wax Floors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of comparable work experience.
- Skilled at operating power tools and have basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing.
- Able to lift and move furniture and appliances and stand for many hours at a stretch
- Able to climb multiple flights of stairs if elevators fail
- High School Diploma or Trade School or its equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computers is a plus but not required.
- Working with elderly disabled and/or formerly homeless population is a plus
