Job Description
Location: Jersey City NJ 07311
Job Type: Fulltime
Job Description:
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintaining interior and exterior upkeep of painted and stained areas of the properties.
- Completing scheduled commercial painting and wallcovering.
- Restoring painted areas to their original state across the building.
- Repair drywall as needed.
- Tapes and spackles drywall in preparation for painting. Fills nail holes cracks and joints with putty plaster and other filler.
- Apply specific finishes and color matching caulks sands taps polishes and waxes completed surfaces and glazing as needed.
Note: Indoor painting with air conditioning.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 years of experience in the field.
- Must have 4 years of commercial painting experience.
- Valid Drivers License and insurance.
- Must have experience with cutting in brushing rolling taping and being able to keep the environment clean.
- Must be able to work independently without too much direction and control.
- Must be able to work safely off a step ladder.
- Must be able to travel and coordinate with property personnel daily.
- Knowledge of the building maintenance industry.
- Transport materials such as tools or supplies at times.
- Able to safely operate power and hand tools is a must.
