Job Description

Were on the lookout for a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer with a Technical Team Lead background who brings a proactive mindset ownership resilience and the ability to make an immediate impact from day one. As a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer and Technical Team Lead you will play a key role in the development of innovative software solutions across various projects. You will be responsible for leading the development lifecycle from concept through to delivery providing handson technical expertise and managing a team of engineers. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to hit the ground running possess an activator mindset and proactively address challenges while ensuring project milestones are met.
At L4B Software you will:
- Technical Leadership
- Lead a technical team through the development integration and optimization of embedded Linux software for a variety of platforms (e.g. iMX8 iMX6).
- Serve as a handson leader to solve complex software problems and contribute actively to all phases of development from architecture to integration.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior and senior engineers ensuring seamless collaboration and effective task distribution.
- Lead a technical team through the development integration and optimization of embedded Linux software for a variety of platforms (e.g. iMX8 iMX6).
- Embedded System Development
- Participate in the design development and enhancement of embedded Linux systems including software components such as application drivers middleware bootloaders and protocols.
- Set up customize and optimize OS environments including Yoctobased builds board bringup and kernel configurations.
- Contribute to system bringup debugging testing and validation of software/hardware integration ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in the design development and enhancement of embedded Linux systems including software components such as application drivers middleware bootloaders and protocols.
- Project Management & Delivery
- Manage endtoend delivery of projects ensuring ontime completion and alignment with quality requirements.
- Report on project progress identify potential risks and proactively propose solutions to mitigate issues.
- Coordinate and participate in regular code reviews proof of concepts and system testing.

- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements ensure clarity and deliver customized solutions in an agile manner.

Requirements
What you will bring:
- Experience: 10 years of experience in embedded Linux development with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. Proven experience with Yoctobased environments kernel development and driverlevel programming.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in C C SQL Python and shell scripting.
- Tools and Frameworks: Experience with CMake Makefile Jenkins Git SVN JIRA QtCreator and QtDesigner.
- Platforms & Technologies: Strong expertise in embedded systems with focus on Linux/AOSP environments. Experience with hardware platforms such as iMX8 and iMX6.
- Protocols & Standards: Familiarity with H264 MQTT JSON TCP/IP UDP and other communication protocols.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Demonstrated ability to tackle challenges at all software layers from bootloader to applicationlevel.
- Professional Attributes: Strong team leadership skills ability to work independently proactive approach ownership mindset resilience in challenging situations and a readiness to make decisions and activate solutions.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
