Job Description
Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice
Location: Arlington TX
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Job Description:
Fire Sprinkler Fitters are pipefitting specialists in the fire protection industry and Western States Fire Protection is seeking qualified applicants for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Learn to install repair and maintain all types of fixed extinguishing systems including underground piping
- Responsible for installing and servicing various other fire protection equipment such as Standpipes Wet Pipe systems Dry Pipe systems PreAction systems and Foam systems.
- Travel within the state of Texas and willing to work on various locations/job sites; as necessary
- Comply with the unions collective bargaining agreement
Job Qualifications
- Willing to become a member of the UA Local Union
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior experience is required
- Possess a valid drivers license; by Company policy
- Willing to lift up to at least 50 pounds; with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willing to climb ladders; with or without reasonable accommodation
- A strong mechanical background is preferred
- Ability to work in a fastpaced construction environment; with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willing to pass a postoffer drug test and background check; if applicable
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending reaching climbing and walking
