Job Description
The Ultrasound Technologist may work in an ambulatory or hospital environment.
The job requires maintaining the production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
The Ultrasound Technologist should effectively communicate with patients to identify their service requirements and ensure correct exams are performed.
The job entails preparing the patient and area for procedure by adjusting equipment and positioning the patient.
Safety protocols must be strictly followed to protect patients and team members.
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for maintaining the equipment and work area to meet cleanliness and quality standards.
The job requires obtaining verifying and maintaining all relevant documentation.
The Ultrasound Technologist is expected to adhere to policies procedures and workflows including maintaining medical imaging records.
The job requires the ability to perform high quality ultrasound procedures in a timely manner explain the procedure to patients provide services accurately and costefficiently and work independently.
The Ultrasound Technologist must be able to serve as a trainer for new team members and on new services and initiatives.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and certification or license in one of the following: ARRTBS ARRTS MSK RDMSAB RDMSBR RDMSOB RVS RVT.
