The Multimodality Technologist performs imaging procedures in two or more disciplines with at least 25% focus in an advanced discipline such as CT MR Nuc Med or IR.
The role involves performing highquality multimodality procedures according to established protocol in a timely manner.
The technologist must understand radiation dose reference levels iSTAT point of care testing for obtaining creatinine levels and ensure safety measures are adhered to during procedures.
Duties also include preparing the patient and area for procedures and maintaining a clean and functional work area.
The role involves maintaining medical imaging records in appropriate systems and obtaining verifying and maintaining all relevant documentation.
The technologist must be able to perform tasks independently administer first aid and provide quality training to new team members.
The role may require being on call.
The candidate must have graduated from an accredited program and have less than 1 year of experience.
The candidate must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer and be licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) unless the role is MRI and Ultrasound.
The candidate must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in TWO imaging modalities and work 50% of the time in the second modality.
