Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of medical transportation vehicles. This role requires expertise in vehicle diagnostics preventative maintenance and efficient problemsolving skills to ensure safe and dependable service for those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and electronic systems including engines brakes steering and transmissions
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs parts replacements and maintenance tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members to schedule repairs and ensure vehicles are available as needed
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean organized workspace
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in automotive repair is a plus
- Proven experience as a mechanic preferably with fleet or medical transportation vehicles
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including engine and brake repair
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Proficient with standard mechanic tools and diagnostic equipment
- Reliable detailoriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
