Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of medical transportation vehicles. This role requires expertise in vehicle diagnostics preventative maintenance and efficient problemsolving skills to ensure safe and dependable service for those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and electronic systems including engines brakes steering and transmissions
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs parts replacements and maintenance tasks
  • Communicate effectively with team members to schedule repairs and ensure vehicles are available as needed
  • Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean organized workspace

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in automotive repair is a plus
  • Proven experience as a mechanic preferably with fleet or medical transportation vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including engine and brake repair
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Proficient with standard mechanic tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Reliable detailoriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
