ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. 1. Performs all MRI examinations according to Vail Health protocols. Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols. Review each examination for technical accuracy send completed examinations to radiologist and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician s name and signature patient s name and date. Maintain constructive collaborative communication with patients patients family physicians coworkers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care. Maintains established department policies and procedures objectives confidentiality quality assurance safety environmental standards radiation protection standards infection control standards and universal precautions. Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation. Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat. Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements Required and/or Preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year previous MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience in healthcare required. License(s): American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) credentials: R.T.(R )(MR)(ARRT) required. OR American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) required Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Computer / Typing: Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for jobspecific competencies access online forms and policies complete online benefits enrollment etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language including reading writing and speaking English. Education: N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment. Some of these hazards could include but are not limited to: radiation toxic chemicals biological hazards heat noise dust and stress. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Ability to care for oneself; perform manual tasks; see speak breath learn read concentrate think communicate and work are essential to perform this role in the organization.
