Job Summary:
The Journeyman Electrician to help us maintain production at all Morrow Energy facilities. The Journeyman Electricians duties include communicating with clients and performing ones own inspections to diagnose and tend to each task. This position requires a punctual individual who understands the companys priorities and goals. You should be comfortable performing these and related undertakings with minimal supervision. A remarkable Journeyman Electrician will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and the capacity to mentor Apprentices on the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Replace fuses on utility pole
Read/ comprehend tape measure blueprints schematics technical drawings work orders instructions formulas and processing charts
Capable of performing bending mounting and installation of Rigid Conduit
Set up and pull wire and cable
Terminate power control and instrumentation wire and cable
Install electrical gear equipment and devices
Switchgear
Motors
Starters
Heat trace
Plant lighting
Install and troubleshoot PLCs
Assisting on construction startups
Loop checks
Instrument troubleshooting
Instrument Installation
Communications troubleshooting
Install and troubleshoot AC and DCDrives
Order and Code Spare Parts/Materials for projects through Morrow Energy PO program
CAPABLE OF RUNNING A HOT STICK
Familiar with
Megger
Multi Meter
420 mA meter
Wire trace toner
Work with the safety manager on developing electrical procedures
Position Requirements:
Have a Texas Journeyman Electrical License with at least 1 year of industrial experience
Advanced skills in installation troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment at industrial facilities
Detailed knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA standards
Knowledgeable of threephase motors and motor control systems (480V and 4160V)
Detailed knowledge of various site procedures safety procedures and MSDS
Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity through completion of an apprenticeship/ professional training
Operate and work near various power equipment including but not limited to forklifts manlifts excavators drills saws hydraulic tools and automatic machinery
Must be safety conscious
Able to travel up to 25% of the time
Familiar with Office 360. Excel Word Outlook basic computer skills
Clean Driving record
