Job Description
Position Title: Consultant Risk Consulting
Education Level: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Compensation: $62/Hour
Location: Remote (within the United States)
Position Overview
Our client a leader in the insurance consulting industry is seeking a skilled Complex Liability Consultant with expertise in Long Tail Tort claims. This fully remote role offers flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S. The consultant will play a critical role in supporting corporate clients by optimizing insurance recovery for highvalue claims particularly in complex cases involving Asbestos Toxic Tort Chemicals Medical Devices Pharmaceuticals Pollution Environmental Product and Premises Liabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategic plans to maximize clients insurance recovery for mass tort and highvalue claims.
- Review and document claim information accurately ensuring it meets company and client standards.
- Conduct research to assess the financial solvency of legacy insurers and parent companies.
- Set up send and track claim notifications to insurers ensuring documentation of receipts and responses.
- Analyze commercial general liability and excess liability insurance policies to identify and address basic coverage issues.
- Manage and organize information related to litigation costs across multiple claims.
- Communicate with insurers and clients to provide coverage updates claim statuses and litigation cost information.
Client Service & Communication
- Collaborate with insurers and clients to resolve coverage questions and respond to inquiries.
- Identify and clarify any unclear concerns or issues in claim documentation and processes.
- Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in all communications.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 35 years of experience in claims handling ideally with an insurance carrier or thirdparty administrator.
- Specialized Knowledge: Proven expertise in Long Tail Tort claims particularly in complex cases involving Asbestos Toxic Tort Chemicals Medical Devices Pharmaceuticals Pollution Environmental Product and Premises Liabilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word and Excel with strong organizational abilities to track and manage data effectively.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience Level: MidSenior
