Job Description
Position: Certified Surgical Technologist
Location: Brownwood Texas United States
Job Description
Note: Salary depends on work experience
JOB SUMMARY
- Facilitate the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments supplies and equipment and maintains the sterile field while anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team.
- CSTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities surveys improvement initiatives and continued education.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education
- Completion of approved Surgical Technology Program
- Minimum Work Experience
- No previous experience
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- BLS should not initiate patient contact until completed
- Must maintain a valid surgical technologist certification
- Required Skills Knowledge and Abilities
- Deals effectively with hospital personnel
- Advocate of quality and cost effective care
- Maintains professional appearance at all times
- Ability to handle confidential information
