Description
Summary:
Transports patients to their inpatient bed and/or to and from other areas such as admitting surgery therapy or radiology in a safe and timely manner. Retrieves medical records lab results supplies and medications as required. Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow. Maintains and cleans equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process.
- Monitors the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of patient safety basic transportation equipment infection control processes clerical skills excellent telephone etiquette and good communication and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- BLS
