Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure that employees provide phenomenal guest experiences resulting in lasting memories. They will lead develop and coach a team of professional employees to enhance the level of service and meet standards.

Food & Beverage Overview: Our mission is to make Food & Beverage the heart and soul of all of our hotels by creating a free standing food & beverage mentality in our hotels that is relevant profitable and exciting; connecting us our guests and the community together.

Candidates will be matched to one of the following Restaurants based upon experience:

  • 1888 Chop house/ Castello Ristorante
  • Rundle Lounge
  • Stanleys Smokehouse (Golf Clubhouse)
  • STOCK Food & Drink
  • The Vermillion Room
  • Waldhaus Dining Room & Pub

Starting at $55000 $57000 gross annually based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include:  

  • Provide onthefloor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure standards are being maintained
  • Be involved with ongoing menu/wine/cocktail development
  • Have a good understanding of daytoday expectations tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming events
  • Review guest comments respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashion
  • Understand both the restaurants and the hotels financial goals to achieve superior longterm financial returns to our shareholders
  • Ensure that service essentials steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the team
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in a full service hotel or upscale restaurant
  • Must have proserve certification and POS system experience
  • Wine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an asset
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset
  • A passion for food & wine
  • Schedule flexibility including early mornings late nights weekends holidays
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
