Job Description
Job Title: IBMi Developer
Location: Jacksonville FL
Summary
AMPORTS is currently hiring a highly experienced IBMi Developer with a passion for software development. Join our team and contribute to the success of our dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our development team to design develop and maintain applications on the IBMi platform.
- Create and maintain modular scalable and efficient RPG programs using RPG ILE and peripheral programs / APIs.
- Work with SQL and Embedded SQL for data retrieval manipulation and database maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with management peers business analysts and SQA team members.
- Participate in code reviews debugging and optimization.
- Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and best practices.
Requirements:
- Approximately 10 years of experience as an IBMi RPG ILE Developer.
- Experience with Profound UI for modernizing IBMi applications.
- Proficiency in RPGILE RPG Free CL and CLLE Programming.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and Embedded SQL.
- Experience with modular design and a commitment to producing clean maintainable code.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced development environment.
Preferred qualifications but not required:
- Familiarity with development tools such as RDI Visual Studio Code LMi and GIT preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps work item tracking for project management preferred.
- Leadership experience is considered an asset.
