Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of two businesses: a global company operating across North and South America and a company which focuses on the U.S. market. The ideal candidate will have exceptional fluency in English (equivalent to a U.S.based professional) and expertise in both U.S. and Mexican accounting practices. This role is integral to ensuring seamless financial management compliance and reporting across our diverse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Manage the full accounting cycle for Anaya Steel and American Stalls including accurate recording of financial transactions reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and Mexican accounting standards meeting all regulatory requirements in both jurisdictions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets forecasts and financial strategies for both businesses.
- Analytical Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports offering actionable insights to support business decisions.
- International Operations Support: Manage the financial complexities of global operations including currency exchange and crossborder transactions.
- ClientFacing Communication: Interact professionally with U.S.based clients maintaining high levels of professionalism and fluency in English to represent the businesses effectively.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with leadership teams in both companies to align financial strategies with business goals.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in financial management with a focus on construction manufacturing or sales industries.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Mexican accounting standards.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with experience managing complex financial operations.
- Proven ability to handle international accounting and financial operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
