Job Description

Job Title: Event Cook

Location: Clipper Park Road Baltimore MD 21211

Job Type: Parttime

Job Description:

We provide hightouch production and catering for weddings parties corporate events and any other special occasion inside Woodberry Kitchens spectacular historic space at Clipper Mill and at offsite locations in and around Baltimore. At our events guests experience worldclass hospitality and James Beards awardwinning cuisine. Our menu showcases the regions freshest seasonal produce fish and shellfish from the Chesapeake Bay and the highest quality meats from regenerative farms.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional kitchen work environment working with the best ingredients grown in the MidAtlantic. Reporting directly to the Event Sous Chef event kitchen staff will drive event kitchen prep and inservice execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage various stations in the event kitchen.
  • Maintain cleanliness and enforce proper food handling. This includes but is not limited to heating holding cooling storage labeling dating vacuum sealing and general cleaning.
  • Maintain an organized station at all times in prep as well as in service.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously at high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Facilitate overall kitchen organization including but not limited to dry storage big walkin small walkin line dish and storage areas. Help to create a culture of care for our space and tools with a team focused on cleanliness and organization as part of our daily practice.
  • Adhere to all policies as provided by HR regarding staff disciplinary action onboarding antidiscrimination harassment ethical behavior and any other policy defined in the Handbook or otherwise.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with the team and guests.

Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience
  • Experience in a banquet setting or highvolume restaurant preferred
  • An enthusiasm for locally sourced food
  • Strong attention to detail organization and cleanliness
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
  • Ability to work and collaborate as a team member
  • Dependable and motivated to learn with excellent communication skills
