Position: Developer III/Power Platform Developer
Location: Remote (Houston TX Hybrid schedule for local candidates)
Duration: 12 Months contract with high possibility of extension
Description
We are looking for an experienced Power Platform Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Power Platform services and solutions and will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions with a focus on Copilot Studio. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills excellent communication abilities and a passion for driving great customer experience.
Role responsibilities:
- Automate workflows and business processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
- Provide technical insights and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct workshops presentations and demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of lowcode platforms to teammates and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in workshops with stakeholders and business analysts to gather and understand business requirements
- Design and implement technical solutions using the Power Platform (Copilot Studio Power Apps Power Automate and Power BI).
- Implement integrations with thirdparty applications services and APIs
- Conduct PoCs (Proof of Concepts) and demos to showcase configured Power Platform solutions
- Generate technical documentation to enable successful transition to customers
- Perform quality assurance to ensure the solutions function as expected
- Stay up to date with the latest developments of the Power Platform and provide ongoing consultation to clients on best practices and new features
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in Power Apps and Power Automate development
- Proficient in full Power Platform suite
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
- Solid understanding of relational database technologies.
- Solid knowledge of integration technologies APIs and protocols.
Additional Technical Knowledge/Skills:
- Power Platform (Canvas/modeldriven apps SharePoint Power BI)
- Relational databases (design/SQL/tuning)
- Web APIs (SOAP/REST)
- Tooling (GIT/JIRA/Azure DevOps)
Certifications (any will be highly recommended):
- Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate

Solution Design and Development
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Analyze and document business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
Application Development:
- Design and develop custom applications using Power Apps.
- Create modeldriven and canvas apps to meet specific business needs.
- Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow).
- Integrate various services and applications to automate endtoend business processes.
- Data Visualization and Reporting:
- Develop interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Connect to various data sources model data and create visualizations to provide insights and support decisionmaking.
Integration and Customization
System Integration:
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services (e.g. Dynamics 365 SharePoint Microsoft Teams) and thirdparty systems.
- Use connectors and custom APIs to extend the functionality of Power Platform solutions.
- Develop custom connectors and components when outofthebox solutions are not sufficient.
- Write custom code using languages like JavaScript and C# where necessary to enhance applications and workflows
Maintenance and Support
Solution Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain Power Platform solutions to ensure they operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Perform regular updates and enhancements to existing applications and workflows.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with Power Platform applications and workflows.
- Provide technical support and guidance to endusers and other stakeholders.
Governance and Best Practices
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices to ensure data privacy and protection.
- Configure rolebased access control and manage user permissions within the Power Platform environment.
Governance:
- Establish and enforce governance policies for the development and deployment of Power Platform solutions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed solutions including technical specifications user guides and training materials.
- Document workflows data models and integration points.
Training and Continuous Improvement
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to endusers and other team members on using Power Platform solutions.
- Create training materials and conduct workshops or webinars.
- Stay up to date with the latest features and updates to the Power Platform.
- Participate in community forums attend conferences and engage in continuous learning to enhance skills and knowledge.
Collaboration and Communication
CrossFunctional Collaboration:
- Work closely with business analysts developers IT administrators and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Participate in project planning status meetings and review sessions.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns promptly
