Job Description

NCDHHS is a seeking an experienced Epic HIM Analyst. Minimum of 3year experience in Healthcare IT in an Epic Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst role.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes documents andcommunicates business requirements for new system functionality andenhancements to existing functionality.
  • Test system changes toensure that they meet business requirements and do not adversely impact otherareas of the Epic system.
  • Acts as the primarysupport contact for the applications endusers.
  • Identifies issues thatarise in their application areas and issues that impact other application teamsand works to resolve them.
  • Guides workflow designbuilds tests the system and analyzes other technical issues associated withEpic software.
  • Identifies implementscompletes integrated testing and communicates requested changes to the Epic system.
  • Works with Epicrepresentatives and end users to ensure the system meets the organizationsbusiness needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline.
  • Performs indepthanalysis of current and future workflows data collection report details andother technical issues associated with the Epic EHR and designated thirdparty applications.
  • Partners with qualityoperational and business leaders on system design and optimization to meetquality safety financial and efficiency needs.
  • Collects requirements regarding potentialsystem enhancements or new system implementation and prepares details ofspecifications needed; prioritizes and implements requested changes to the system.
  • Investigates standardization and processimprovement opportunities by rounding within revenue cycle areas while makingbuild decisions.
  • Validates that data is accurate and meetsbusiness requirements.
  • Completes integratedtesting to test system changes in all Epic environments to ensure that theymeet business requirements and do not adversely impact other areas of the system.
  • Troubleshoots andidentifies root causes and documents problems of simple to medium complexityfor assigned applications and systems.
  • Maintains data integrityand security for assigned applications and systems.
  • Develops systemdocumentation as assigned per standards.
  • Developscommunicationrelated education efforts for deployments upgradesoptimizations and other system changes as assigned.
  • Stays current on Epic application releases andparticipates in upgrade planning and testing.
  • Participates inperformance improvement activities to measure assess and improve the qualityof assigned work area
