Job Description:
Were looking for an experienced and innovative Android Engineer to join our Android platform team. Youll play a vital role in shaping the user experience on our Android platform working closely with product managers and designers to deliver bestinclass features that delight our customers. Your work will span various development stacks giving you the opportunity to make a significant impact on our mobile product and influence its future direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Design and implement intuitive features for the Android platform using Java Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to enhance user experience.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with the Digital Experience Team to conceptualize develop and launch innovative features.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews promote best practices and ensure high standards are maintained.
- Architectural Improvement: Identify foundational issues rearchitect components as necessary and drive enhancements for a robust codebase.
- Technical Leadership: Guide the technical direction of largescale cloud systems serving as a lead for both internal and external teams.
- Requirement Definition: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define feature requirements and align on implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest Android trends and technologies and drive continuous improvement in product quality.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor software engineers fostering skills growth through advice coaching and training.
- Documentation & Installation: Prepare solutions by defining specifications standards and programming ensuring smooth integration and implementation.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Android technologies including Java Kotlin Jetpack Jetpack Compose and Android Studio.
- Architecture Patterns: Strong understanding and handson experience with MVP and MVVM patterns.
- Debugging & ProblemSolving: Skilled in debugging complex native application code and managing intricate systems with high user demand.
- Testing & Code Coverage: Strong commitment to quality with experience in Unit Testing and Code Coverage tools such as Junit Jacoco and Sonar.
- Source Control Proficiency: Advanced source control skills including branching versioning pull requests and conflict resolution.
- Security & Encryption: Knowledge of security practices including biometrics and encryption principles like RSA SqlCipher and SecureAuth.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent partnering communication and negotiation skills for seamless collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to mentor engineers lead brainstorming sessions and guide teams toward impactful solutions.
