Job Description

Join our innovative and studentcentered educational team for theschool year as a Special Education Teacher. We are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. If you are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and collaborating with families and educational professionals this is the role for you!

As a Special Education Teacher you will be responsible for:

Developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress
Communicate effectively with teachers administration and families
Collaborating with therapists professionals and families to support student achievement
Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure students achieve success across content areas
Collecting data and implementing differentiated instruction and interventions for academic and socialemotional needs
Modifying general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of students with cognitive emotional or physical disabilities

Requirements

Demonstrated background in teaching Special Education or a related field with a strong record of success in supporting students with diverse needs. Skilled in working with children who have a broad spectrum of disabilities tailoring approaches to meet individual requirements effectively. Possess a Bachelors degree in Special Education with a Master s degree considered an asset. Qualified or eligible to obtain an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a special education (LBS1) endorsement.
