Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring and motivating students to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. This involves delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that cater to diverse abilities and interests while fostering a love for sports and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver highquality PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the schools sporting ethos encompassing a variety of sports and physical activities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and promotes teamwork sportsmanship and healthy competition.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support individual development and skill enhancement.
- Contribute to the schools extracurricular sports program potentially coaching teams and organizing events.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the PE department and across the school to enrich the overall student experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Physical Education Sports Science or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level.
