Job Description
Our Client is an Indian multinational technology company a pioneer in Product Engineering & Digital Transformation delivering concept to market and chip to cognition R&D solutions to customers across the semiconductor automotive industrial consumer electronics enterprise devices satellite communications telecom and transportation domains

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of the Android camera framework specifically the Camera2 API its architecture and advanced features like YUV reprocessing manual controls and multicamera support etc.
- Design develop and implement camera functionalities within the AOSP framework specifically focusing on Camera2 API features.
- Integrate and optimize camera drivers for seamless operation within the device including HAL layer implementation.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure compatibility between camera hardware and software working closely with BSP (Board Support Package) development.
- Conduct performance analysis and identify areas for improvement in camera functionality including optimization of Camera2 pipeline.
- Integrate and optimize camera drivers for seamless operation within the device.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure compatibility between camera hardware and software.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AOSP camera development Camera2 API updates and relevant industry trends.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal camera libraries and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java C/C and Python for developing camera applications and tools.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other engineers on camerarelated issues particularly regarding Camera2 and HAL implementation.
- Document camera functionalities and technical specifications clearly and concisely.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Android AOSP Camera module development.
- Strong understanding of the Android camera framework and its architecture.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and deploying camera features using the Camera2 API.
- Excellent problemsolving and debugging skills particularly for complex camerarelated issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross functional teams & Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Design, develop, and maintain core components of the Android framework, including system services, native services, libraries, and the HAL layer. Contribute to the development and maintenance of custom Android ROMs. Analyze and resolve complex system-level issues within the Android framework. Optimize performance and resource utilization of framework components, including battery life and power consumption. Develop and implement new features and functionalities within the Android framework, considering power efficiency and performance impact. Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure compatibility with various hardware platforms and optimize power management. Participate in Android version upgrades and ensure compatibility with new features, including power management improvements. Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.
