Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced ultrasonic testing (UT) with shear wave techniques to detect flaws in welds and structural components.
- Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) using methods such as Penetrate Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
- Analyze and interpret testing results to determine structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports with observations findings and recommendations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assess project specifications and quality requirements.
- Provide technical support during inspections and resolve issues related to NDT processes.
- Ensure all testing complies with ASNT standards and client specifications.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in NDT procedures and techniques.
- Participate in audits and certifications to maintain company compliance with relevant standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Certifications:
- ASNT Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- BCN Level 2 certification.
- Level 2 certifications in Penetrate Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) are mandatory.
- ASNT Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Skills Required:
- Indepth knowledge of ultrasonic testing (UT) and shear wave techniques.
- Familiarity with BCN and ASNT standards and codes.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills for interpreting test results.
- Proficiency in using NDT equipment and related software tools.
- Excellent communication skills for report writing and client interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong focus on safety protocols and compliance.
