Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage nondestructive testing (NDT) operations ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Perform NDT inspections using certified methods (RT PT MT UT). Optional methods such as ET MFL and VT will also be considered.
- Develop and review NDT procedures to ensure adherence to ASNT standards.
- Train supervise and qualify Level 1 and Level 2 NDT technicians.
- Interpret and evaluate test results to determine the integrity and quality of materials and components.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of inspections and tests performed.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve technical issues and improve testing methodologies.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Engineering degree (preferred) or equivalent technical background.
- ASNT Level 3 certification in at least one NDT method (RT PT MT UT). Certifications in ET MFL and VT are an added advantage.
- Proven experience in managing NDT projects and leading a team.
- Strong understanding of NDT codes standards and safety requirements.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in interpreting codes standards and client specifications.
- Expertise in operating and calibrating NDT equipment for different testing methods.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to evaluate test results effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for training and liaising with team members and clients.
- Detailoriented with a focus on ensuring quality and precision.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
