Job Description
Position: Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
Scope:The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the companys IT infrastructure remains highly available performant and secure. This includes designing managing and maintaining infrastructure components such as firewalls virtual environments WiFi PBX/VoIP systems data center hardware and backup solutions. The role involves proactive management troubleshooting complex issues and performing system upgrades to implement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Design and maintain IT systems ensuring performance and security.
- Sophos Firewall Administration:
- Manage computer entries and user accounts.
- Create VPN connections and deliver credentials.
- Update quota limits and DSL configurations.
- Publish web servers and manage guest access permissions.
- Virtual Environment Management (Vsphere):
- Monitor server performance for optimal virtual machine performance.
- Migrate VMs between physical hosts.
- Create and manage VMs and VCenter server.
- Customize ESXi OS editions.
- Network and Communication Systems Management:
- Aruba WiFi System:
- Manage device whitelisting and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- PBX and VoIP Systems (Yeastar 3CX):
- Manage user extensions trunks and call forwarding.
- Troubleshoot call issues upgrade systems and enhance 3CX functionality.
- Aruba WiFi System:
- Data Center and Hardware Management:
- Physical troubleshooting of servers switches leased line gateways and DSL routers.
- Monitor Storage Area Network (SAN) and datacenter UPS performance.
- Windows Server and Domain Services Management:
- Manage domain policies DHCP configurations and create/manage WDS images.
- Domain Controller and Backup Management:
- Monitor and manage domain controller performance.
- Manage Veeam backups and monitor syncing with secondary hosts.
Job Specifications:
- Education: University degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Experience:3 years in IT infrastructure management.
- Skills: Proficient in infrastructure tools and platforms.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
