Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Science to inspire and lead our talented team of Science teachers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of science education and contribute to the overall academic excellence of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a clear vision for the Science department aligning with the schools strategic goals.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and delivery of a highquality Science curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of dedicated Science teachers providing guidance and support.
- Student Achievement: Drive high standards of teaching and learning ensuring excellent student outcomes.
- Resource Management: Manage the departments budget and resources effectively.
- Professional Development: Promote professional development opportunities for staff.
- External Relations: Build strong relationships with external organizations and institutions to enhance the departments profile.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science or a related subject.
- Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
