This fulltime permanent position offers a unique opportunity to ignite a passion for scientific inquiry in young minds and contribute to a thriving learning community.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging Science curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on expertise and experience. The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity critical thinking and a love for scientific exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver stimulating Science lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement participation and a sense of wonder about the natural world.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth and development.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in science education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Science with specialization in Biology Chemistry or Physics preferred.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
