Roles and responsibilities

• Manage mental health services to ensure high-quality care delivery, meeting the community's psychological needs.
• Lead community outreach, partnerships, and student placement meetings to foster community involvement and collaboration.
• Initiate and maintain contracts with community agencies to expand resources and enhance the clinic's effectiveness.
• Provide clinical supervision to trainees to support their professional growth and ensure best practices.
• Oversee case assignments for equitable distribution and maintain high-quality client care.
• Implement a quality care assurance program, conducting yearly evaluations to uphold service excellence.
• Assess the clinic’s ability to meet service demand, ensuring responsive and efficient service delivery.
• Manage staff and students to ensure effective fulfillment of their roles, promoting a well-functioning team.
• Ensure compliance with ethics and best practices, upholding the highest standards of care.
• Collaborate to advance the clinic’s growth and development, increasing its area of influence and effectiveness.
• Manage financial responsibility to maintain a balanced budget, ensuring long-term sustainability and effective allocation of resources for fiscal stability.
• Ensure providers complete necessary documentation in accordance with professional regulations and policies.
• Manage the optimization of office processes for efficient execution of administrative tasks.
• Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Supervising Clinical Staff:
  Oversee the work of clinical professionals such as doctors, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and therapists. This includes providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.

• Staff Development and Training:
  Ensure that clinical staff members are properly trained in the latest therapeutic techniques, clinical protocols, and ethical guidelines. This may include organizing professional development opportunities and continuous education programs.

• Team Collaboration and Coordination:
  Foster a collaborative environment where clinical teams work together efficiently. Coordinate care between different healthcare professionals to provide integrated, patient-centered services.

• Policy Development and Implementation:
  Establish and enforce clinical policies and procedures that promote best practices, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of care provided to patients.

Desired candidate profile

• Medical degree and Professional medical license with Ministry of Public Health Certificate of specialization in psychiatry (e.g., Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, American Board Certification in Psychiatry, or equivalent).
• License to practice as a psychiatrist in the state of Qatar.
• 8-10 years post-licensure mental health experience in a college counseling center or other relevant setting.
• Strong leadership training and leadership experience.
• Experience in presenting at international conferences.
• Experience in a college counseling center providing multi-culturally competent individual, couples, and group counseling or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of confidentiality for patient-counselor privilege.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Fluency in both Arabic & English languages and ability to provide bilingual counseling.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
