Job Description
Our client is one of Africa s largest economy and continues to cement its Group s position as one of the leading and most diversified consumer brand builders in the country. Due to expansion they are in need of a TOOTHBRUSH MOLD & TUFTING OPERATOR.
LOCATION: LAGOS
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up operate and adjust molding machines to ensure precise toothbrush production. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Operate tufting machines to insert bristles into toothbrush handles ensuring proper alignment bristle density and firmness according to product specifications.
- Perform regular inspections of molded and tufted toothbrushes to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Address issues promptly and make necessary adjustments to equipment or processes.
- Troubleshoot issues with molding and tufting equipment diagnosing problems and performing basic maintenance to minimize production delays. Work with maintenance teams for more complex repairs.
- Work to maximize production efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of product quality. Proactively suggest process improvements and contribute to ongoing efforts to optimize production.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures in the operation of machinery ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintain accurate production records including machine settings production rates and any issues encountered during production.
- Communicate effectively with team members supervisors and maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations and resolve production challenges.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor Degree
- Experience: 5 8 years of handson experience in operating toothbrush molding and tufting machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment ideally within the oral care industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of molding and tufting processes machine settings and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with quality control measures and production tracking systems.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand and perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on product quality with the ability to identify and address defects or inconsistencies.
- ProblemSolving: Proficient in identifying operational issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams including production maintenance and quality control.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety procedures related to machinery operation and general factory safety practices.
Bachelor's Degree in Law or related discipline with 15 years of hands-on experience as head of legal/regulatory compliance in a significant manufacturing concern. Work experience in an internal audit environment Admission into Bar and the ability to think outside the box and demonstrate commercial application of legal knowledge is necessary. In-depth knowledge of the industry s standards and regulations. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping. A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality. An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations. Excellent communication skills.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Law or related discipline with 15 years of hands-on experience as head of legal/regulatory compliance in a significant manufacturing concern.
