You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Senior Manager of Finance is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership for our organization. This role oversees all aspects of financial management including financial planning and analysis accounting budgeting forecasting and financial reporting. The Senior Manager of Finance works closely with executive management to develop financial strategies that drive the companys growth and profitability.
Essential Functions
Perform the monthly quarterly and annual financial closing processes that includes directing staff related to all activities including billing payroll accounts payable and financial reporting for all month end close processes. This includes thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant accounting standards.
Understand all aspects of revenue recognition included ACS 606.
Leads and directs the work of the other employee and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring performance management and termination.
Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis.
Develop and execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools.
Partner with auditor activities related to accounting treasury tax as appropriate.
Collaborate with management in building the budgets and forecasts as needed until capable of taking ownership over these procedures including the close process.
Analyze and review accounts and accounting cycles prep and review balance sheet recons and handle documentation of accounting workflows
Gather and analyze data reflected in the companys financial statements ensuring it is properly stated and accurately reflected.
Communicate issues project status and other applicable information to management.
Complete special projects as assigned by management.
Generate any adhoc reporting and/or analysis requested by management.
Maintain an understanding of new accounting programs/initiatives so to make recommendations for improvements as needed.
Rely on experience and judgement to creatively think through any curiosities that may arise on a daytoday basis.
Collaborate with other departments such as Human Resources and Legal on financial and regulatory matters including compensation planning and contract negotiations.
