Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging history curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 4 and 5. This role involves creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking historical analysis and an appreciation for the past.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver captivating history lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Employ diverse teaching methodologies and resources to cater to different learning styles.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in history education.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors degree or higher in History or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level.
