Job Description

English Teacher Wandsworth Permanent Position

A highly reputable secondary school in the vibrant borough of Wandsworth is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their thriving English department on a fulltime permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) to contribute to a supportive and successful learning environment.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
  • Plan and implement differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and across the wider school community.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in English or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • A strong understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
