Job Description

PE Teacher Wandsworth Secondary School

A leading secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a dynamic and passionate PE Teacher to join their thriving Physical Education department on a fulltime permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to inspire students to excel in physical activity and develop a lifelong love of sports and fitness.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and highquality PE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan and implement a differentiated curriculum that caters to a range of abilities and interests promoting physical literacy and healthy lifestyles.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of extracurricular sporting activities encouraging student participation and promoting school spirit.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the PE department and across the school to enhance the learning experience for all students.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in PE and sports education.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Physical Education Sports Science or a related field.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Demonstrate proven experience teaching PE at the secondary school level (Key Stages 35).
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to promoting physical activity and healthy living.
  • Possess excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Have a passion for sports and a desire to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
