An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SENDCo to join a diverse and inclusive primary school in Southwark. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in managing SEN provision across the school ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support and guidance they require. The SENDCo will work closely with staff parents and external agencies to develop tailored support plans and create an environment where all students can thrive. This is an ideal role for someone who is ready to take on a leadership position and make a significant impact on the school community.

Responsibilities
- Leading the SEN provision across the school developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
- Supporting and training staff on best practices for teaching children with special educational needs.
- Collaborating with parents teachers and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the SEN team promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified SENDCo with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)
- Strong experience in SEN leadership within a primary school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff parents and external professionals
- A clear DBS check
- Legal right to work within the UK
