The main function of the Utility Steward is to operate all dish washing equipment to sanitize kitchen equipment dishes pots pans glass cutlery removal of garbage etc.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag while working.
- Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Follow all sanitation standards.
- Wash all dishes pots pans glasses and cutlery according to Fairmont standards.
- Hand wash pots and pans as needed.
- Operate the dish machine in the prescribed manner.
- Restock all clean equipment pots pans etc. in designated area.
- Thoroughly clean and wash all kitchen equipment hoods store rooms hallways dock machines floors and walkins.
- Empty trash and wash cans.
- Comply with all loss prevention guidelines.
- Report any faulty equipment immediately
Qualifications :
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful highpressure situations.
